Awe struck worshipers watch as the icon of
Jesus Christ, sheds unexplainably tears of blood
Another big impression was caused recently by this miracle in the Greek Orthodox church of birth at Bethlehem. The icon of Jesus Christ which is painted on a marble post exactly above the cavern of birth, started to drip red tears. The nun who has been at the church for 20 years described that suddenly she saw a flash coming from the iconography of Jesus and when she approached she saw red tears dripping from his eyes, and running down his cheeks. Father Anastasios, the official representative of Archbishop Diodoros vouched for the unusual happening and characterized it as an enormous miracle "Jesus is crying for the course and the development of the world which is not in a good state", he said confirming that he was a witness of this divine manifestation.
